Play kitchen are expensive, especially the wood ones! After coming across some pretty awesome DIY recycled play kitchens, I decided that I was going to make one for Leeluu's birthday. She turns 3 this Saturday.
I kept my eye out for an old cabinet of Kijij, and found this one for $15 dollars. I am not the handiest person but I kept it pretty simple. After all it's for her to use her imagination.
The curtains I sewed and strung on a wooden dowel. The sink (metal bowl) I picked up at the dollar store for, you guessed it, a dollar! The paint is the kind in the really small can that you can test out on your walls.
I am excited to find some little baskets this week and fill them up with cooking gear! I know she is going to make some yummy vegan meals for all her buddies (stuffed animals).
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.

ReplyDeleteWe bought my kiddo one wood kitchen but it was small and she outgrew it fast and we had to get her another one - making one would have been awesome!
