What a beautiful day! I took the bike out from the shed with hopes that I wouldn't have to inflate the tires, and we were in luck, we rode down the trail and picked up the mail this morning. Spring is here, and it feels great! I sat in the sun while my daughter blew bubbles, nothing like a little vitamin D to make you feel happy.
On the weekend I booked some nights at our favorite campground, Rissers Provincial Park. It fills up fast....in less then 24 hours of the park reservations opening the whole campground is booked! So I am glad I got a couple of weekends:)
I have some great news, we are having another baby! I have past my first trimester, although its been a rough few months. I have hopes that the second and third trimester will be a bit easier.
With all the sunny days ahead I can't help but look out the window and think about all the things I would love to do with the veggie patch. It seems a bit of a daunting task, and because of the deer I am reluctant. When we moved into this house I discovered a crop of potatoes in the patch, which was so fun! I know deers don't eat potatoes :) I have read that they don't eat squash or cabbage, so I will plant those for sure. There is still about a month to go before the planting season starts, so I have a little time to plan. If you know of some plants that deers don't eat, please tell.

ReplyDeleteOh Kirsten, Congrats! What a darling photo of bubble blowing! I just love those blue skies and that blue house. The deer (so far) have not touched my brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower or collards--just an fyi.
ReplyDeleteThanks friends :)
